Glücksgefühle Festival 2026

How to get Glücksgefühle tickets with your group

Germany's largest festival sold 55,000 tickets in its first day, and the premium tiers are long gone. What's left rewards squads specifically. There's a built-in group-of-four discount, one camping zone still standing, and a personalisation deadline that punishes vague plans. Here's the whole basket.

What is Glücksgefühle?

Germany's largest festival, three editions old.

Glücksgefühle - the name means "feelings of happiness" - is the fastest festival growth story in Europe. Founded in 2023 by footballer Lukas Podolski and music manager Markus Krampe, it turned the Hockenheimring Formula 1 circuit into a festival site and went from 130,000 tickets in year one to 250,000 people across the 2025 weekend, billing itself as Germany's largest music festival. The 2026 edition runs 3-6 September, with David Guetta, Ayliva and Marteria heading a roughly 47-act bill across three stages - Euphoria, Cloud 9 and Dopamin - that swings from Hardwell and Boris Brejcha to Scooter, SDP, No Angels and Alphaville.

The shape of the weekend surprises first-timers: the music programme runs Friday and Saturday only. Thursday is campsite arrival plus a €39 pre-party, Sunday is the pack-down, and the days run 2pm to 11pm with a funfair - Ferris wheel, swing rides, the circuit grandstands doubling as seating - filling the infield around the stages. Entry is strictly 18-plus, even with a guardian, and the site runs cashless on wristband-loaded Glücks-Coins.

Dates

3-6 September 2026 - music runs Friday and Saturday, Thursday is the pre-party and camping arrival, Sunday is the pack-down.

Place

The Hockenheimring Formula 1 circuit near Heidelberg - trains to Hockenheim station, free on-site parking, over a million square metres of infield.

Scale

Up to 250,000 across the weekend - from a 130,000-ticket debut in 2023 to Germany's largest music festival in three editions.

Why people come back

A funfair on a racetrack: Ferris wheel at sunset, grandstand views, and a bill that runs from Guetta to German pop and back.

A daytime festival crowd on the Hockenheimring infield with the Ferris wheel and circuit grandstands in the distance
The Hockenheimring infield in year one - Ferris wheel up, grandstands full, the paddock tower on the skyline. Three editions later the crowd has nearly doubled.

Why tickets are hard

A record presale, one price step already, and the good stuff gone.

The 2026 presale opened on 17 September 2025 at 6pm and broke the festival's own records: more than 55,000 tickets in the first 24 hours, with the popular C3 camping zone gone on day one and over 80,000 sold within two months. Prices have stepped up once since launch - the weekend moved from €229 to €249, the group rate from €219 to €239, day tickets from €129 to €139 - and every order adds a service fee from €9.90. The instalment option closed permanently on 1 June 2026.

Six weeks out, the live inventory is the base layer: full weekend, day tickets, VIP Friday, C9 camping (the last regular tent zone), WoMo camper pitches and pre-pitched tent upgrades. Everything premium - VIP weekend, VIP Saturday, every LP10 Supreme lounge product, all glamping and the quieter Green Camping - is sold out, with the official See Tickets Resale market as the route back in. Hotel bundles via partner Travelcircus (from €235 per person including a ticket) are the remaining comfort option.

  • The premium tiers are gone. VIP weekend, VIP Saturday, every LP10 Supreme product and all glamping sold out, so official resale is the only route back in.
  • Official resale has no price cap. See Tickets Resale lets sellers set their own price, so a sold-out tier can cost well over face value even on the official platform.
  • Camping is a separate per-person product, and a festival ticket sleeps nobody. C9 is the last regular tent zone on sale, and WoMo pitches need a €49 vehicle ticket on top.
  • Every ticket carries a name. Personalisation is mandatory by 5 September, and fixing a name on site costs €30 per ticket.

Minimum fields and decisions to collect

  • Ticket setup
  • Maximum ticket budget
  • Attendee name (as on ID)
  • Sleeping plan

Names, ages and resale

Names by 5 September, strictly 18-plus, and seller-set resale.

Every festival and camping ticket must be personalised with its real attendee's name by 5 September 2026 at 23:59 - vehicle tickets and extras are exempt. Name changes after purchase go through the original buyer and carry a fee, and sorting it out at the gate costs €30 per ticket, so a stable squad list beats a vague one. The free Germany jersey bundled with every 2026 ticket can't be resold with it, and jersey sizes locked back in May.

Two more rules shape the plan. First, the festival is strictly 18-plus, even accompanied - there is no family route at all. Second, resale: the official market is See Tickets Resale, linked straight from every sold-out product in the shop. Sellers set their own prices there, with no face-value cap. The festival strongly advises against buying anywhere else, and with named tickets a private swap is a genuine risk rather than a bargain.

Five things to know before you buy. Music runs Friday and Saturday only. Entry is strictly 18-plus. Every ticket needs its real attendee's name by 5 September. Camping and vehicles are separate products on top of the festival ticket. And the official resale market lets sellers price above face value.

Ticket glossary

Translate the shop before the squad opens a basket.

The shop sells in German product codes and house vocabulary, and the words on the buttons are the words that matter. Two minutes here saves a mistranslated basket later.

WoMo

Short for Wohnmobil - the shop's word for campervan and motorhome products. A WoMo pitch needs a per-person camping ticket plus a separate €49 vehicle ticket.

C-zones

The camping areas sell by code: C3, C5Z and Green Camping are gone, C9 is the last regular tent zone, and C5/C8 are the WoMo areas. Each is a separate per-person product on top of the festival ticket.

Glücks-Coins

The cashless currency on your festival wristband. Online top-ups are free; the first on-site load costs €2.30, and unspent credit refunds from 7 September.

LP10 Supreme

The top VIP lounge tier, named after co-founder Lukas Podolski's shirt number 10. Every LP10 product for 2026 is sold out - resale is the only route.

Sky Access

An elevated-viewing add-on (€89 per day, €149 weekend) that requires a matching base ticket - it isn't an entry ticket on its own.

Pre-Party

The Thursday-night opener (€39) for early arrivers. The music programme proper runs Friday and Saturday only - a common surprise for first-timers.

Ticket rules

Named or transferable? We checked.

Named tickets

Every ticket must carry the attendee's name; changing the name is possible only via the original buyer, and costs a fee with a cut-off date - so buying together is the safer plan.

Each ticket is tied to a person's details at purchase, so passing one on later is restricted or costs a fee. The crew move: buy for each other, get everyone's details right the first time, and treat name changes as the exception, not the plan.

The group method

The one shop where organising four people is literally cheaper.

Most festivals cap group buying; Glücksgefühle discounts it. The Group Full Weekend rate needs a minimum of four people in one basket and prices at €239 each against €249 solo - the shop itself pays the squad to organise. The catch is that the four names have to be real: personalisation is mandatory, so the basket wants confirmed attendees, not optimistic placeholders. And because camping, vehicles and comfort upgrades are separate products that sell out independently of each other, the sleeping plan isn't an afterthought here. It's the first decision.

Glücksgefühle group buying method

  1. 1

Lock the four-plus, then buy once

The group rate needs a minimum of four people in one basket. Agree the confirmed list before checkout, not after - the discount only exists for a squad that actually commits.

  2. 2

    Decide the sleeping plan first

C9 tents, a WoMo pitch plus vehicle ticket, a Travelcircus hotel bundle or sleeping offsite - each changes the total and each sells out separately from the festival ticket.

  3. 3

Assign real names before 5 September

Personalise every ticket with its actual attendee as soon as the squad is stable. Late swaps go through the original buyer with a fee; the gate-day version costs €30 per ticket.

  4. 4

Treat official resale as a priced market

For sold-out tiers, agree a per-person ceiling before anyone browses. Sellers set their own prices on See Tickets Resale, so patience is a strategy and panic is a premium.

A good Glücksgefühle plan keeps the real answers in one place. The confirmed four-plus names, spelled exactly as they appear on ID. Each person's all-in euro ceiling, covering ticket and camping and vehicle and coins and fees. The agreed sleeping plan. Who owns the group basket. And the 5 September personalisation deadline, in everybody's calendar.

Six weeks out

Buy the base, watch the resale, name the tickets.

This close to the gates, the plan is short. Lock the squad list and buy the group basket from the live inventory before the next price step or sell-out; put a per-person ceiling on any sold-out tier before opening the resale market; and put 5 September in every calendar. Then the small wins: top up Glücks-Coins online for free before travelling (the first on-site load costs €2.30, and unspent credit refunds from 7 September), and sort travel early - trains to Hockenheim, free on-site parking, a campsite shuttle only from C8 and C9, and the official slinger.to carpool board for everyone else.

group of 4+€239per person

The rare festival where the shop pays you to organise.

Most festivals cap groups; this one discounts them. Four confirmed names in one basket saves €40 - and those same four names, personalised before 5 September, are what get through the gate.

Phone lights to the horizon and the Ferris wheel lit at the far end of the infield. The music stops at 11pm sharp - the campsite carries the rest.

Where TicketSquad helps

The names, the basket and the deadline in one place.

The memories that matter here are the Ferris wheel at dusk, a quarter of a million people singing German pop between Formula 1 grandstands, and the campsite carrying the night after the 11pm curfew. Getting a squad there is compact but unforgiving. One basket with the right four names in it. A sleeping plan bought before it sells out. And a deadline that turns a free correction into a €30 queue.

TicketSquad gives a Glücksgefühle squad one home for the whole plan. Who is confirmed, and their names as they appear on ID. Each person's all-in euro ceiling. The sleeping-plan decision. Who owns the group basket. The resale watch for the sold-out tiers. And that 5 September deadline, which nobody wants to rediscover at the gate.

For the one festival where organising four people is literally cheaper, the squad sheet isn't admin - it's the discount. Set it up once and the basket, the names and the deadline all take care of themselves.

This is one way we help

The event page becomes the plan, not just the place you store names.

Once the ticket method is clear, the next question is everything around it: where the official links are, what kind of ticket or package the squad is aiming for, what the lineup status is, how people get there, where they sleep, and what they should know before they arrive. TicketSquad keeps that event knowledge beside the data your squad needs to submit.
