Primary sale had published fixed tiers, but 2026 tickets are sold out and the current official route is Tixel resale/waitlist, so buyers should supply a maximum resale budget.

What is Green Man?

A Welsh-hills festival with its own mythology.

Green Man Festival 2026 runs from 20 to 23 August at Glanusk Estate near Crickhowell in Bannau Brycheiniog, with Settlement access from Monday 17 August for people taking the longer route in. The useful mental picture is not a giant corporate park-and-stage sprawl. It is a temporary village in the hills: music, comedy, science, literature, family fields, late-night Far Out energy, Welsh beer, muddy boots if the weather turns, and the Green Man burn on Sunday.

The 2026 line-up already includes Four Tet, Wolf Alice, Wilco, Mogwai, Cat Power, The Beta Band and Sparks, which is very Green Man: serious music taste without losing the odd corners. Its size is part of the love. The capacity signal we have is about 25,000, so it can feel intimate while still selling out fast enough that a loose group chat is not enough.

Dates

Public festival dates are 20-23 August 2026; Settlement ticket holders arrive from Monday 17 August.

Place

Glanusk Estate near Crickhowell, with Abergavenny station, shuttle, coach, Park & Ride, cycling and car routes to decide.

Scale

A smaller festival than the giants, but big enough and loved enough to make clean resale planning matter.

Why people come back

The hills, the fields, the family-friendly feel, the discoveries, and the Sunday ritual that makes it feel like a real place.

The Green Man figure at Green Man Festival 2024
Green Man is small enough to feel personal and ritual-heavy enough to feel mythic. The admin is there so the whole group gets to the burn together.

Why tickets are hard

Green Man is already a resale problem, not a normal on-sale problem.

The official Green Man tickets page says 2026 tickets are sold out and sends buyers to Tixel, the official resale route. That changes the group job. You are not just trying to get into a waiting room at 10:00. You are preparing for scarce, uneven, fast-moving resale inventory where a buyer needs to know the exact category, quantity and maximum price before acting.

The categories are not interchangeable either. Weekend and Settlement tickets are different trips. Resident day tickets need NP8 proof. Adult, student/under-25, teen, Little Folk and infant tickets need the right people attached. Under-18s need a responsible adult lead booker, and that person has to enter with them. Live in vehicles, parking, coach, Park & Ride and accessibility needs all sit around the ticket decision.

  • Tixel is the official resale route, so social-media "spares" and unverifiable screenshots should be treated as a dead end.
  • Weekend and Settlement tickets change arrival date, budget, time off work, food planning and family energy.
  • Under-18 tickets need the real lead booker, not whichever adult happened to be fastest on the day.
  • Add-ons matter: live-in vehicle, car park, Park & Ride, coach, accessibility and campsite needs can break a plan after the ticket win.

Ticket glossary

Translate the Green Man ticket language before chasing resale.

Weekend Ticket

Thursday to Sunday access with camping included. This is the normal festival-weekend shape.

Settlement Ticket

Monday to Sunday access for the longer week. Great if the group can arrive early; useless if they cannot.

Resident Day

NP8 resident day tickets need address proof and behave differently from full festival tickets.

Tixel

The official capped-price resale and waitlist route after primary sell-out. Treat it as official, but still category-specific.

TicketSellers

The primary-sale account route. Useful for future sale prep and any official account history.

Age bands

Adult, student/under-25, teen, Little Folk and infant products should match the real attendee, not the fastest buyer.

Lead booker

Under-18 tickets need a responsible adult aged 21 or over, and that adult must enter with them.

Travel add-ons

Car parks, Park & Ride, National Express, live-in vehicle and accessibility choices can be as important as the ticket.

The group method

For Green Man, the method is sold-out-mode precision.

Green Man has a generous primary-sale order cap in the record: up to 10 tickets per order, six per ticket type, and one live-in vehicle per order or session. But resale does not behave like a full-stock primary sale. Tixel alerts and listings arrive in whatever shape sellers release, so the useful group method is not "everyone buy anything". It is a shared resale brief.

Green Man group buying method

  1. 1

    Lock the target ticket

Weekend, Settlement, resident day, age band, access route and add-ons should be agreed before anyone joins a waitlist.

  2. 2

    Assign resale owners

Decide who watches Tixel, who can use auto-purchase, who handles under-18 groups and who still needs travel or vehicle add-ons.

  3. 3

    Set the budget ceiling

Every buyer needs a maximum GBP price including fees, and the group should know whether a partial win is acceptable.

  4. 4

    Record each move immediately

When someone joins a waitlist, buys, changes category or sorts travel, update the shared plan so nobody duplicates or misbuys.

10 cap

Primary sale cap in the record: up to 10 tickets per order.

6/type

Do not assume one cart can cover every age band or category mix.

1 live-in

Vehicle plans need their own owner because live-in passes are limited separately.

check3things first

Before any resale buy, confirm category, max price and the person attached.

Green Man resale is too specific for heroic guessing. Weekend versus Settlement, age band and lead-booker details all need to be true before the official move happens.

A good Green Man squad knows who still needs which category, who can use Settlement, who has under-18s attached, who needs a live-in vehicle, who has a hard GBP ceiling, and who is allowed to trigger auto-purchase without waking the whole group.

Sale day and resale

Keep Tixel, TicketSellers, lead bookers and travel in the same plan.

The primary sale may be over, but the process still has moments where groups make avoidable mistakes. A Tixel alert lands and someone buys the wrong age band. A Settlement ticket appears but the buyer can only arrive Thursday. A teen ticket is bought under the wrong adult. A live-in vehicle friend gets a ticket but no vehicle route. The fix is unglamorous and effective: write the answers down before the alert.

MomentWhat the group does
Before alertsTixel account ready, exact ticket category known, maximum GBP budget agreed, payment route comfortable.
Tixel waitlistJoin for the right categories only; do not widen the search unless the group has agreed the compromise.
Auto-purchaseUse only when category, quantity, payment card and max price are explicitly approved by the buyer.
Under-18sCheck the responsible adult lead booker before buying; the name and entry obligation matter.
After buyingRecord buyer, attendee, category, add-ons, travel needs and who is still unsorted.

This is what the careful Tixel plan protects: the group in the Welsh hills, not scattered across half-bought tickets and crossed wires.

Why it matters

Green Man rewards groups that arrive already calm.

Green Man is not a festival you want to spend arguing about in the car park. You want the first drink, the first wander, the first accidental discovery and the relief of seeing the same hillside open up around everyone. That feeling is easier to find when the boring things are done: the tickets are real, the buyer accounts are right, the children have the right adult attached, and the travel plan matches the ticket.

That is the whole point of this guide. The magic is the field, the hills and the burn. The method is keeping your friends from losing the magic to avoidable admin.

Where TicketSquad helps

TicketSquad keeps Green Man resale from becoming chat archaeology.

TicketSquad gives a Green Man group one place for TicketSellers/Tixel email, Weekend or Settlement preference, ticket mix, maximum GBP budget, lead booker, accessibility evidence, live-in or parking needs, coach or Park & Ride choices, and who is still unsorted.

That means the next Tixel alert is not a scramble through old messages. It is a buyer looking at a clean answer sheet and making the right official move for the right person.

This is one way we help

The event page becomes the plan, not just the place you store names.

Once the ticket method is clear, the next question is everything around it: where the official links are, what kind of ticket or package the squad is aiming for, what the lineup status is, how people get there, where they sleep, and what they should know before they arrive. TicketSquad keeps that event knowledge beside the data your squad needs to submit.

Green Man Festival 2026

20–23 Aug 2026Glanusk Estate

Green Man Festival 2026 is the Welsh hills one: Glanusk Estate near Crickhowell in Bannau Brycheiniog, 20 to 23 August, with Settlement access from 17 August if you want the full week. At roughly 25,000 capacity it feels smaller and more human than the mega-festivals, but never small in spirit: brilliant music, comedy, science, literature, proper family space, late-night Far Out energy and the Sunday Green Man burn all live inside one much-loved temporary village. Primary tickets sold out after the 27 September...

Travel & accommodation

Planning note

Choose the trip shape before buying resale: Settlement means Monday arrival and a much longer week; Weekend starts Thursday, so food, family energy, car park timing and time off work all change.

When you're there

Planning note

Leave room in the plan to wander. Green Man is at its best when you drift from the big music moments into talks, science, comedy, literature, family fields and odd corners you did not know you needed.
