How to get Green Man tickets with your group

Green Man returns to Glanusk Estate near Crickhowell in Bannau Brycheiniog from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 August 2027, with Settlement access from Monday 16 August for people taking the longer route in. The useful mental picture isn't a giant corporate park-and-stage sprawl. It's a temporary village in the hills. Music, comedy, science, literature, family fields, late-night Far Out energy, Welsh beer, muddy boots if the weather turns, and the Green Man burn on Sunday.

No 2027 acts are announced yet, and nobody bought on the lineup this time either. The 2026 bill landed in April, months after that edition had sold out. It ran Four Tet, Wolf Alice, Wilco, Mogwai, Cat Power, The Beta Band and Sparks, which is very Green Man indeed: serious taste, without losing the odd corners. The size is part of why people love it. The 2027 sell-out announcement put it at around 25,000 people a day, small enough to feel intimate and yet quick enough to sell out that a loose group chat won't cut it.

Every Green Man 2027 ticket was released through CitizenTicket at 10am on Saturday 26 September 2026, and the Weekend and Settlement tickets sold out long before a single act had been announced. Press reported the sell-out on 28 September, and it's the fifth year running Green Man has gone this way. The official tickets page now shows every Weekend and Settlement ticket as sold out, add-ons included. The only thing still showing a buy link when we checked on 4 October was the NP8 resident Sunday day ticket, which is no use to you unless you live locally.

If you missed it, your way in is Green Man's official Tixel exchange. Resale prices there are capped at face value plus the CitizenTicket and Tixel fees, so you won't be paying a tout's markup, but you will be up against everyone else on the waitlist, and Tixel showed more than 100 people waiting in early October. Whoever's watching needs the exact category and the exact ceiling agreed before a ticket appears.

The categories aren't interchangeable either. Weekend and Settlement tickets are different trips. Resident day tickets need NP8 proof of address. Adult, student/under-25, teen, Little Folk and infant tickets each need the right person attached. Under-18s need an adult over 21 who books for them and enters with them. Live-in vehicles, parking, Park & Ride and accessibility all sit around the ticket decision rather than after it, and none of it is the kind of thing a festival usually simplifies.

• Weekend and Settlement tickets change arrival date, budget, time off work, food planning and family energy. Decide which one you're chasing before you join the waitlist, since a Settlement ticket is wasted on someone who can only arrive on Thursday.
• An under-18 ticket carries the name of the adult over 21 who booked it, and that adult is checked against photo ID at the gate. The official pages don't say how that works on a resale ticket, so ask Green Man before you pay for one.
• Add-ons matter more than people expect, and the live-in vehicle and parking passes show as sold out too. A live-in vehicle, a car park, Park & Ride, a coach or an access need can break a plan you thought was finished.

The 2027 primary sale capped you at six tickets per ticket type, ten per order and one live-in vehicle per booking session. That's history now. On Tixel, tickets come back in whatever type and number the seller had, so "everyone buy anything" gets you a teen ticket nobody needs. What works is a shared brief saying what each person needs and what they'll pay, and it's the same brief you'll want ready for next year's release.

Resale punishes the same handful of mistakes the primary sale did. Someone buys the wrong age band. A Settlement ticket goes to a buyer who can only arrive Thursday. A teen ticket is bought under the wrong adult. A live-in vehicle friend gets a ticket but no vehicle route. The fix is unglamorous and it works. Write the answers down before you switch on auto-purchase, because it'll buy the moment a match turns up.

Green Man isn't a festival you want to spend arguing about in the car park. You want the first drink, the first wander, the first accidental discovery and the relief of seeing that hillside open up around everyone. That's easier to find when the dull things are already done - real tickets, the right buyer accounts, children attached to the right adult, and a travel plan that matches the ticket.
