Hellfest 2027
How to get Hellfest tickets with your group
Hellfest sold all 55,000 four-day passes for its 20th edition the day they went on sale, a year early, lineup unseen. What remains is a minutes-long 1-day sale in early 2027 and an official resale lottery - both of which reward crews that turn their numbers into coverage.
Hellfest 2027

What is Hellfest?
For four days a French village is the capital of heavy music.
Hellfest 2027 runs 17 to 20 June in Clisson, a small town in the Loire vineyards south of Nantes, and it's the 20th edition of the festival that turned a village into metal's permanent capital. For the anniversary the site grows from six stages to ten and the bill from around 180 bands to more than 300, with capacity holding at 60,000 a day - about 240,000 attendances across the weekend.
What makes Hellfest different is that it owns its ground and builds like it. There's the giant Lemmy statue over the Warzone, Cathedral Alley, a permanent bar, a redesigned Hell City for 2027, and free camping that opens the Wednesday before. The crowd treats it as a homecoming, which is exactly why the tickets behave the way they do.
Dates
17-20 June 2027, with free camping for pass holders from the Wednesday.
Place
Clisson, France - TGV to Nantes, TER or shuttle to Clisson, then a 20-minute walk to the gates.
Scale
60,000 a day, 240,000 across the weekend; the 20th edition expands to ten stages and 300+ bands.
Why people come back
A built world rather than a rented field. Lemmy watching over the Warzone, every genre of heavy under one sky.

Why tickets are hard
Sold out the same day, a year early, with no lineup announced.
The 2027 numbers tell the whole story. On 7 July 2026 at 13:00, Hellfest put 55,000 four-day passes on sale at €389 plus a €10 fee, and they were gone the same day - press reports ranged from "minutes" to under two hours. Nobody knew a single band on the bill. None of that was new either. The 2025 passes went in about 25 minutes with 95,000 people connected at once, and 1-day passes have historically vanished in 10 to 20 minutes.
The mechanics make preparation everything. The queue is a virtual waiting room where positions can be assigned at random, so joining early doesn't guarantee a spot - but every extra person in the queue is an extra draw. Orders are capped at two passes per purchase. And Hellfest's own announcement admitted its anti-bot screening declined some legitimate cards at checkout, which is why a backup payment method isn't paranoia.
- The 4-day sale happens on one day, a year ahead. No lineup, no second chance, and a queue position assigned at random.
- Two passes per order means a big crew cannot ride on one hero buyer - every member in the queue doubles as a draw.
- Anti-bot screening has declined real cards at checkout; a second card and a calm retry plan belong in the toolkit.
- 1-day passes arrive in early 2027 and historically sell out in 10-20 minutes - the same discipline applies at smaller scale.

The resale lottery
Missed the sale? The official resale offers each returned ticket at random.
Hellfest runs the only sanctioned second chance itself. The official resale opened the day after the sellout. Sellers return passes through their account and get face value back, and each returned ticket is then offered at random to one person on the resale waiting list, who gets an email and a limited window to buy at face value plus a 10 percent fee. Miss the window and the ticket moves to the next name. It can take days or it can take weeks, and it's genuinely random - which for a group means every member registered is another line in the lottery.
Outside that system there's nothing safe. Tickets are named, delivered only about a month before the festival through the official account area, and French law backs the festival with fines up to €30,000 for unauthorised resale. Lookalike scam domains turn up in searches every cycle. The honest advice here is also the dullest one. Official shop, official resale, and nowhere else.
Ticket rules
Named or transferable? We checked.
Personal tickets; use official general or private-link resale.
Each ticket is tied to a person's details at purchase, so passing one on later is restricted or costs a fee. The crew move: buy for each other, get everyone's details right the first time, and treat name changes as the exception, not the plan.
The group method
For Hellfest, the method is maximum legitimate coverage.
Hellfest is the purest version of the group problem. A fixed-time sale, a randomised queue, a two-per-order cap, and demand at roughly double supply. There are no tricks available, only arithmetic. Every member with an account, a loaded card and the sale time in their calendar is both a queue draw and a buyer of two. Six of you showing up means six lottery lines and cover for twelve passes. Six of you behind one laptop means one line and two.
Hellfest group buying method
- 1
Get everyone an account early
Every member creates their own account on the official shop, with payment details saved. Do it in the weeks before, because the queue is no place to be typing a card number.
- 2
Assign the two-per-order maths
Decide in advance who buys for whom if they reach the front: pairs, not free-for-all. Every buyer covers exactly two named people.
- 3
Register the whole crew for resale
Everyone joins the official resale waiting list with their own email. Offers land at random and expire fast - more inboxes, more chances.
- 4
Keep budgets and backups visible
Face value plus 10 percent for resale, a second card against anti-bot declines, and an agreed ceiling so nobody hesitates when their moment comes.
Sale day and beyond
Be ready before 13:00, then keep the lottery and logistics alive.
The next fixed moment is the 1-day pass sale in early 2027, and the standing one is the resale lottery, which runs right up to the festival. Both reward the same preparation. So does the trip - trains to Nantes, the Clisson shuttle, free camping from Wednesday, the cashless wristband - which is much easier sorted the day the passes land than during festival week.
2 per order
The official cap per purchase - so every prepared member matters.
Random queue
Positions are assigned by draw, which makes each extra member a real extra chance.
Face + 10%
The only sanctioned resale price; anything else risks a cancelled ticket and a fine regime.
With a randomised queue, headcount is the honest advantage.
Six prepared members means six independent queue draws on sale day, six resale inboxes afterwards, and buyers who can legitimately cover two passes each. There's nothing to game here - the festival just rewards showing up together.

Where TicketSquad helps
A year of Hellfest admin in one place.
The best Hellfest memories happen in front of the mainstages at dusk and in the campsite at 3am. None of them happen while you refresh an inbox hoping a resale offer hasn't expired. The festival sells out because it earned a crowd that plans a year ahead, and the groups that get there together are just the ones that planned like it.
TicketSquad gives a Hellfest crew one home for the things this festival stretches across a year. Account emails. Who queues on sale day. Buyer assignments under the two-per-order cap. Resale-lottery registrations. Budget ceilings. Travel routes to Clisson. And who still needs a pass when an offer finally lands.
That matters more here than almost anywhere, because Hellfest punishes disorganisation twice. Once at 13:00 on sale day, and again every time a random resale email expires unanswered. One shared plan turns both into routine.
This is one way we help
The event page becomes the plan, not just the place you store names.
Once the ticket method is clear, the next question is everything around it: where the official links are, what kind of ticket or package the squad is aiming for, what the lineup status is, how people get there, where they sleep, and what they should know before they arrive. TicketSquad keeps that event knowledge beside the data your squad needs to submit.
Event preview
Hellfest 2027
Hellfest 2027 is the festival's XXth Anniversary edition, running from 17 to 20 June 2027 in Clisson. Organisers are planning more than 300 artists across a redesigned site with 6 to 10 stages. The lineup has not been announced yet.
Official links and sale routes
In the app, these links sit next to the sale-day plan so nobody is digging through old chats for the official route when the queue opens.
Ticket and package choices
Lineup
Lineup details are still TBC. The event page keeps a clear slot for them so the squad can update the plan when official announcements land.
Buying tickets
Use the official resale waiting list
4-day passes are sold out. Resale offers are allocated randomly, not by signup time, and a reserved offer lasts 12 hours.
Travel & accommodation
Build the trip around Clisson
the station is about a 20-minute walk from the festival site, with an event shuttle normally offered for the short transfer. Recheck 2027 timetables before booking.
When you're there
Carry photo ID
tickets are personal and the organiser may verify identity at entry.
Your data for this event
This is the form Hellfest 2027 members would fill in for themselves, so the coordinator is not translating screenshots into a buyer sheet at the worst possible moment.
