How to get Shambala tickets with your group

Shambala takes over Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens in Northamptonshire across the August bank holiday. It's deliberately smaller than the arena-scale festivals. The official FAQ describes 14,000-15,000 public adults plus children, with camping, hot showers, roughly 40 venues, family fields, talks, workshops, cabaret, woodland parties and plenty of glorious nonsense.

Shambala 2027 runs 26 to 29 August. Tickets went on general sale through Kaboodle at noon on 30 September 2026, with pre-sale sign-ups let in a few hours earlier. Adult Weekend Tiers 1 and 2 sold out within four days, and when we checked on 4 October Tier 3 was £298.64 including the booking fee. There's no lineup yet, and there rarely is this far out. It also matters that Shambala is independent, sustainability-led and employee-owned. That tells you a lot about the way the tickets, the travel and the site rules are all framed, and none of that changes year to year.

Shambala has never been a panic sale, and the 2027 one opened at noon on Wednesday 30 September 2026 through Kaboodle, which has taken over from the Humanitix route used last year. Prices run in fixed tiers that step up as each one sells. Adult Weekend Tiers 1 and 2 had gone within four days, Tier 3 is £298.64 including the booking fee, and Tier 4 is listed at £308.97 as coming soon. Every order also carries a £25 recycling bond, which you get back on site. If the product you need has gone, wait for Kaboodle's official resale, which only switches on if adult tickets sell out, rather than drifting into social screenshots or other platforms.

The difficulty is that Shambala tickets carry promises. The name needs to match ID. A Green Traveller ticket is only valid if the attendee arrives by the chosen low-impact route and can show the proof. The 2027 terms cover a Sunday Day ticket, but it isn't in the current checkout. Children, teens, under-5s, 18-25s and 70+ tickets all need the right category. General camping is included, but comfort pitches, vehicles and access needs are all separate decisions.

• Kaboodle is the sole official seller for 2027. Humanitix ran the 2026 sale, so any old Humanitix link or order is for last year.
• Tickets are named, and once named a ticket can only move to someone else through Kaboodle for an admin fee, so collect real attendee names before checkout.

Shambala's 2027 terms and launch guide don't publish a per-order ticket limit, so don't invent a Group size. Use the practical unit that Shambala gives you. People who share a ticket route, the same travel proof, the same age category, and the same assumptions about budget and camping.

If your group is two adults buying the same weekend tickets, a simple checklist may be enough. If your group includes a Green Traveller, a car driver, a teen, a child, an accessible camping request, a Dragonfly upgrade and someone waiting on official resale, you need a shared plan before the buyer opens Kaboodle. The checkout times out after 20 minutes, which isn't long to dig out a guardian's phone number from scratch.

For 2027 the order lives in your Kaboodle account, which you can create at the end of checkout. That's where you add extras later, and adding them there saves paying a second £25 bond. It's also the route for name changes and, if adult tickets sell out, resale. You'll get a booking email straight away and the e-tickets in early August, so don't lose track of either.

Travel is part of the ticket logic. Green Traveller buyers need the selected official coach, rail shuttle or Red Fox Cycling proof. Drivers need car or live-in vehicle planning. Rail travellers need Market Harborough or Long Buckby plus the festival shuttle. Everyone should expect reusable kit, the £25 recycling bond on each order, limited phone signal and a site that works because people treat the practical bits with care.

Shambala isn't the place to turn your weekend into a procurement exercise. It's a festival for wandering into tiny venues, changing your mind, watching a friend get pulled into something strange, and realising the workshop you nearly skipped was the best bit of the whole weekend. Handle the names, the proof and the passes up front and your energy goes into the field rather than into repairing a preventable mistake at the gate.
