How to get Boardmasters tickets with your group

Boardmasters 2027 is confirmed for 4–8 Aug 2027, Wednesday to Sunday, and tickets have been on sale since August 2026. The shape hasn't changed: the music festival and campsites at Watergate Bay, the surf and skate side down at Fistral. That split is the soul of the thing. You aren't only buying a weekend in front of stages. You're buying a Cornwall week, with cliffs and weather and beach windows, in a town where everybody is running on festival time.

There's no lineup yet, and that's rather the point. Boardmasters sells its cheapest tickets about a year before it tells you who's playing. The 2027 presale opened on 13 August 2026 and general sale the next morning, straight after the 2026 festival wrapped, which is genuinely mad. The non-camping and VIP Early Birds have already sold through, so those are on Tier 1 now, £239 for 3 Day Non Camping and from £385 for VIP camping, each plus a £12 booking fee. On the VIP side, only the coach bundles still carry Early Bird pricing. General camping Early Bird is still there from £255 plus £12 for Friday entry. For a sense of how far it climbs, 2026 weekend camping opened around £234 before the litter bond and booking fee and finished the cycle at £311 or more. Recent licensing puts the site around 58,000 people, which is why the practical questions matter: which day you arrive, where you sleep, who can buy for whom, whose name ends up on the ticket, and how everyone gets back out of Newquay.

The hard bit isn't only getting through checkout. It's knowing what you're trying to buy before the page gets hot. Five-day, four-day or three-day camping. 3 Day Non Camping. VIP, child tickets, coach bundles, live-ins, pre-pitched, Boutique, Chilled, Family Camping, parking, shuttle, hospitality, resale. Names matter too. Boardmasters terms say tickets must contain the ticket-holder name and match photographic ID if requested. The official resale route is Tixel, and Boardmasters warns you off social listings, Twickets, TicketSwap, StubHub and Viagogo, or anything similar, because those routes may not issue a fresh barcode in the new buyer's name.

• Prices go up as each tier sells out, and the non-camping and VIP Early Birds have already gone. The next tier can land before the whole group has agreed what to do.
• Named tickets punish sloppy data entry, nicknames, swapped phones and last-minute "can you buy mine too?" messages.
• Under-16s need the right age-band ticket and a 21+ adult; each adult can accompany a maximum of two under-16s.
• Tixel's 2027 exchange is already live and it's the safe route, but it works better when everyone has realistic budgets and alerts ready early.
