Sziget Festival 2026
How to get Sziget tickets with your group
Sziget is a Budapest island city with a ticket grid to match: five-day, three-day, day, VIP, 21&Under, Festival Account transfers, camping, TicketSwap fallback and travel all need to line up before the fun starts.
Sziget Festival 2026

What is Sziget?
A Budapest island becomes a five-day festival city.
Sziget Festival 2026 takes over Obuda Island in Budapest from 11 to 15 August, with official camping open from 11 August at 08:00 until 16 August at 12:00 CET. The useful mental model is not "a field with a few stages". Sziget is an island city: more than 50 stages, hundreds of programmes, music, theatre, circus, art, workshops, food, nightlife and Budapest just across the bridge.
The 2026 programme already stretches from Bring Me The Horizon, Florence + The Machine, Twenty One Pilots and Lewis Capaldi into electronic districts, pop, indie, dance, art and late-night exploring. Recent reporting put the 2025 edition at 416,000 visits, so the ticket is only one part of the job. You are also choosing dates, where to sleep, how to move through Budapest, and who owns which ticket in a Festival Account.
Dates
Festival programme 11-15 August 2026; camping open from 11 August morning until midday on 16 August.
Place
Obuda / Hajogyari Island in Budapest, with H5, boat, taxi, bike and airport-transfer choices all in play.
Scale
Recent Sziget editions sit in the 400,000+ visits range, so product choice and travel planning are not side quests.
Why people come back
The Island of Freedom feeling: huge names, tiny discoveries, river air, long nights and Budapest wrapped around the festival.

Why tickets are hard
Sziget is not one ticket. It is a basket of trip decisions.
Current official tickets include Full Festival Passes, Full Festival VIP Passes, 21&Under Full Festival Passes, 3-day Passes, 3-day VIP Passes, Day Tickets, VIP Day Tickets, Day Zero products, camping and accommodation choices, moving-in, tent-deposit, lockers and other add-ons. A single day ticket is a different trip from a 3-day window. A 21&Under ticket needs proof at entry. An accommodation product is not the same thing as a festival entrance ticket.
The other trap is account and transfer hygiene. Sziget points people to the Festival Account and mobile-wallet boarding pass flow, and the content pack records Festival Account transfer as the official way to hand tickets to another account holder. TicketSwap is the fan-to-fan fallback when a category sells out, but it still needs to land cleanly in the buyer's account. Screenshots and vague promises are not a plan.
- Pass length changes everything: five-day, three-day, Day Zero, day ticket and VIP/Sky VIP are different products.
- 21&Under only works for eligible people with ID/passport proof; the discounted pass is not a casual swap.
- Camping is a real checkout decision: Basic Camping, Sziget Ville Premium, Camping of Nations, Caravan Camping, Family Camping, Easy XS and city accommodation all behave differently.
- TicketSwap is useful, but the group still needs budgets, exact days and Festival Account checks before anyone buys from resale.
Minimum fields and decisions to collect
- Festival Account email
- Ticket route
- Pass type
- Exact day(s) or 3-day window
- Maximum ticket and add-on budget
- Camping / accommodation plan
Ticket glossary
Translate the Sziget ticket grid before the group starts buying.
Full Festival Pass
The cleanest five-day Sziget trip. Good for people who want the island as home base, not just a few headliner days.
3-day Pass
A consecutive window, not a pick-any-three product. Align the group around exact dates before anyone buys.
Day and Day Zero
Day Tickets, VIP Day Tickets and Day Zero choices work well for city-based friends, but change camping and return plans.
21&Under
A discounted Full Festival Pass for eligible buyers, checked against ID/passport date of birth at entry.
Festival Account
The account layer for tickets, transfers and mobile-wallet boarding passes. Keep ownership visible.
TicketSwap
The official fan-to-fan fallback when categories move or sell out. Still verify the ticket in the right account.
Camping and deposits
Basic Camping, upgrade campsites, moving-in, tent deposit, lockers and pre-pitched accommodation all need separate decisions.
Budapest base
Hotel, apartment, H5, boat, taxi, airport transfer and recovery-day choices are part of the ticket plan.
The group method
For Sziget, the method is route coverage and shared truth.
Some festivals have a clean buyer limit and a simple multiplier. Sziget does not currently publish one universal per-order limit across every product. So the right group-buying move is not to invent one. Instead, split the squad by route: official shop, TicketSwap fallback, camping/accommodation, Budapest travel and already-bought transfers.
Sziget group buying method
- 1
Pick the trip shape
Five-day island life, a three-day window, one main day, Day Zero, VIP or city-based day trips are different holidays.
- 2
Create route owners
Assign people to official shop, TicketSwap, camping/accommodation, Festival Account transfers and Budapest travel instead of everyone refreshing the same thing.
- 3
Collect the account data
Festival Account email, pass type, exact dates, budget, 21&Under proof, camping plan and travel choice should be ready before checkout.
- 4
Update after every move
When someone buys, transfers, joins TicketSwap or changes camping, update the shared plan so the whole squad stays aligned.
Sale day and resale
Keep the official shop, TicketSwap, account transfers and island logistics together.
Sziget goes wrong when ticket buying and trip planning separate. Someone buys a 3-day pass, someone else assumes five nights of camping, one person books a city apartment, another needs a moving-in ticket, and suddenly the group has five versions of the same holiday. Put the product, account, budget and travel decisions in one place first.
5 dates
Day Zero plus 11-15 August means exact-day discipline matters.
4 routes
Official shop, TicketSwap, camping/accommodation and travel all need owners.
1 account truth
Festival Account ownership and transfers stay visible to everyone.
For Sziget, coverage beats pretending every sale has the same queue maths.
The useful proof point is operational: one squad can watch the official ticket grid, TicketSwap, camping stock and Budapest travel together, then keep every successful move visible in one shared plan.

Why it matters
Sziget is easier to love when the island admin is already done.
The best Sziget memories do not come from arguing about whether two consecutive day tickets count for camping, or trying to find a QR code in a crowded WhatsApp chat. They come from walking onto the island with the right wristband, a real meeting point, water, ID, a sleep plan and enough space in the evening to wander.
That is why this guide treats Sziget like a city break and a festival at once. The adventure is wide open; the admin needs to be narrow, specific and boring in the best possible way.
Where TicketSquad helps
TicketSquad keeps the Sziget plan from dissolving into chat noise.
TicketSquad gives a Sziget squad one place for pass type, exact days, Festival Account email, maximum EUR budget, 21&Under proof, camping plan, travel route, TicketSwap status and who has already bought. It is the shared answer sheet for an island-sized ticket grid.
That matters because Sziget is full of good options. The job is to stop good options becoming mismatched options. With the group aligned before checkout, everyone has more room to enjoy the real point of it: getting lost on the Island of Freedom together.
This is one way we help
The event page becomes the plan, not just the place you store names.
Once the ticket method is clear, the next question is everything around it: where the official links are, what kind of ticket or package the squad is aiming for, what the lineup status is, how people get there, where they sleep, and what they should know before they arrive. TicketSquad keeps that event knowledge beside the data your squad needs to submit.

Sziget Festival 2026
Sziget Festival 2026 turns Budapest's Obuda Island into the Island of Freedom from 11 to 15 August, with camping running until midday on Sunday 16 August. This is one of Europe's great international festival cities: recent editions have drawn around 400,000+ visits across the week, 2025 closed at 416,000, and the official 2026 programme already stretches from Bring Me The Horizon, Florence + The Machine, Twenty One Pilots and Lewis Capaldi into electronic districts, theatre, circus, art, workshops, food and late...
Official links and sale routes
In the app, these links sit next to the sale-day plan so nobody is digging through old chats for the official route when the queue opens.

Lineup
Buying tickets
Treat this as a product choice first
a 5-day pass, a 3-day consecutive window, Day Zero, a single main-festival day and VIP/Sky VIP are different trips. Lock each person's exact dates before anyone buys.
Travel & accommodation
Choose island camping or Budapest city life early
camping keeps you inside the action; staying in town makes Sziget part of a bigger Budapest trip. Both are good, but every night needs a return plan.
When you're there
Learn the island like a small city
Sziget has dozens of venues and a lot happening away from the biggest stages. Pick a fixed meeting point and expect walks, clashes and detours.
Your data for this event
This is the form Sziget Festival 2026 members would fill in for themselves, so the coordinator is not translating screenshots into a buyer sheet at the worst possible moment.
