How to get Lowlands tickets with your group

Lowlands returns to Walibi Holland in Biddinghuizen, and the full name is the honest one: A Campingflight to Lowlands Paradise. The 2027 dates aren't announced; recent editions have taken the third weekend of August, and 2026 ran Friday 21 to Sunday 23 August. Around 65,000 people commit to the whole weekend, camping included, because that's the only way Lowlands is sold. There are no day tickets. You're not buying a concert. You're moving to a small city for the weekend.

That city has arena-scale headliners - 2026 brought Tyler, the Creator and Lorde to the Alpha tent, with Turnstile, Kneecap, Major Lazer and around a hundred more across the site - but also theatre, film, comedy, science talks, art and a campsite culture that's half the reason people return. No 2027 programme is announced. The 2026 ticket included four nights on the regular campsite, the free shuttle from Lelystad station and the tourist tax, which is why the group conversation starts with one big yes-or-no question rather than a menu. Lowlands has also said it is redesigning the site for 2027, so some of the layout you know may not survive.

The Lowlands ticket problem is shaped differently from most festivals. The regular full-weekend ticket was €365 in 2026, and that price already carried camping, the shuttle and the tourist tax. It's the only entry product there is. So the hard part isn't choosing between twelve tiers. It's getting a whole group to commit to the same three-day, four-night decision before the tickets move - and 2027 prices aren't published, so build in headroom.

The recent record swings hard, which is the thing to plan around. Lowlands 2025 sold 65,000 tickets in 23 minutes. Then 2026 became the first edition since 2016 not to sell out at the on-sale: around 27,000 people queued in February, the rush never came, and 12% was still unsold three weeks before gates. Plan for the 2025 version and a slow year costs you nothing; plan for the 2026 version and a fast one costs you the weekend. The add-ons kept their old habits either way - camper tiers, large group-camping plots and the €3,550 ten-person group ticket went long before the main ticket did, and Gllamcamp and parking move on their own clocks.

• No day tickets exist. Anyone who cannot do the full weekend is out, and finding that out after buying is an expensive mistake.
• The add-ons are the real scarcity. In 2026 camper pitches and large group plots went months before the main ticket got close.
• Tickets have been mobile-only in the Ticketmaster or Lowlands app. Screenshots do not scan, and installing an app at the gate is misery.
• In sell-out years the February on-sale ran behind a waiting-room queue where unverified accounts cost places in line. Get accounts verified long before a date is announced.

The 2027 resale route and its dates aren't published, so don't plan a calendar around them. What is worth knowing is the shape the last edition used, because it decides who should buy for whom. Ticketmaster Netherlands was the only official shop. Official resale and free Ticket Transfer both opened on 9 July, resale ran until the Thursday morning before gates, and fans set the price. Lowlands is blunt that these are the only safe routes: tickets are mobile-only, so anything bought outside them is a gamble on the most expensive weekend of the summer.

The 2026 rules had one wrinkle worth writing into the group plan: a ticket bought on resale couldn't be resold again through the official route, though it could still be forwarded with Ticket Transfer. If that repeats, buy for the person who is actually going rather than speculatively. And because entry is mobile-only, a transferred ticket isn't really finished until it's sitting in the right person's app, cached and openable in a field with almost no signal.

The on-sale has unusually clean mechanics for this. One official shop, a queue anybody can legitimately join, and a cap of eight regular tickets per buyer in 2026 - unconfirmed for 2027, so treat eight as a planning figure. Every prepared person in that queue covers eight people. There's no trick to it. You're just making sure whoever reaches the front already knows exactly who they're buying for, with the names and the budgets settled.

Lowlands goes wrong in two moments. The first is the on-sale queue, where unprepared buyers waste the eight-ticket cap. The second is much quieter - the summer weeks where tickets sit in the wrong apps, somebody still believes they can come for a single day, and the campervan pitch nobody bought turns into a problem at the gate. The same shared board solves both.

The best Lowlands memories get made deep in the campsite at 02:00, not at the wristband tent watching somebody install Ticketmaster on two percent battery. The festival is a complete world for a weekend, and the admin's only job is to have disappeared before you arrive.
