How to get Open'er tickets with your group

Open'er takes over the Gdynia-Kosakowo military airfield - a working runway site on the Baltic coast just north of Gdynia - for four nights every summer, and it has grown into the biggest festival bill in central Europe. The 2026 edition set a record with 230,000 attendances across its four days: Florence + The Machine and The xx opened, Calvin Harris and Nick Cave shared a Thursday, The Cure and Martin Garrix split a Friday, and Jennie and Peggy Gou closed it out across the Orange Main Stage, Tent, Alter and Flow stages. Promoter Alter Art has run it since 2002; the 24th edition is confirmed for 30 June - 3 July 2027.

The setting splits the accommodation question in a way most field festivals never offer: a full on-site camping culture (with glamping, sleephuts and camper zones above it), or a bed in the Tricity - Gdynia, Sopot or Gdańsk - with SKM commuter trains to Gdynia Główna and free "OF" shuttles running to the gates until 5am. Gates run 15:30 to 03:30, the site is fully cashless, and ID is checked at wristband exchange.

Open'er is not a sellout panic - Final Call tickets were still buyable in festival week 2026 - it is a price game with sharp phase boundaries. The 2026 cycle opened on 7 October 2025 with FanTix, a newsletter-only pool that lasted one day on the clock and about 15 hours in practice: 4-day passes at 899 PLN, capped at two per person, named tickets. Early Birds followed at 989 PLN (cap of four, also named) and sold out before its two-week window closed. Regular ran at 1,149 PLN for eight months, and Final Call topped out at 1,199 PLN - every price plus a 5% service fee at checkout. Waiting from FanTix to Final Call costs 300 PLN a head, about 75 EUR.

The 2027 machinery is already visible: dates confirmed, an artist poll running, and if the pattern holds, the sale opens in early October 2026 with the newsletter pool first. The only official sellers are eBilet and FanTix - the city of Gdynia itself warns that anything else risks counterfeits - and profit resale is prohibited under Polish law, with the organizer voiding resold tickets.

• The cheap phases are fast and capped: FanTix lasted ~15 hours with a two-per-person cap; Early Birds sold out early at four per person. The 300 PLN saving belongs to the prepared.
• FanTix and Early Birds are named tickets: entry only for the person named at purchase, photo ID checked at wristband exchange, and no name changes at all.
• No profit resale exists: Polish law prohibits it, the organizer voids resold tickets, and only eBilet and FanTix are official channels.
• The add-ons sell separately: camping bundles, glamping (from 4,950 PLN), sleephuts and camper spots are their own decisions with their own sell-outs.

Open'er runs a mixed model that catches groups out. FanTix and Early Birds tickets are named: only the person named at purchase gets in, photo ID is checked when tickets become wristbands, and name changes are simply not possible. Regular and Final Call tickets are bearer tickets - whoever holds one uses it. The escape hatch for a named ticket is narrow and expensive: in documented hardship cases the organizer may swap it for a bearer ticket at the current Regular price, paying the difference, no earlier than the Regular pool opening.

For a squad the implication is precise: the cheap phases are personal commitments, not tradeable inventory. Buying a FanTix pass for a friend who might come is buying a ticket that cannot follow them out of the plan. The bearer phases cost more and carry the flexibility - which is a legitimate thing to pay for, as long as the group chooses it on purpose.

The shop and regulamin speak Polish first, and the phase names are the festival's own vocabulary. Two minutes here saves a mistranslated checkout later.

The FanTix maths makes the strategy obvious: the cheapest pool is newsletter-only with a cap of two per person, so a squad of six with every member subscribed can cover itself at 899 PLN a head - while a squad relying on one organised friend covers two people and pays Regular for the rest. Signups cost nothing and take a minute; do them now, months before anyone needs to think about October. Then agree the named-ticket commitments: who is certain enough to hold a no-name-change pass, and who wants the bearer flexibility at Regular price.

Nothing for 2027 is on sale yet - the tickets page still shows the 2026 edition and no on-sale date is announced. The preparation is free and takes an evening: newsletter subscriptions for every member, a certain-versus-maybe roster, the sleeping decision, and budgets in PLN with the service fee counted. If the template holds, the FanTix day lands in early October with Early Birds straight after - and the whole saving is decided in those two windows.

The memories here are the runway sunset behind the Orange Main Stage, the Baltic swim the morning after, the 3am shuttle full of happy people singing in three languages. Getting a squad there is a two-window calendar problem: a newsletter pool one lunchtime in October, an Early Birds fortnight after it, and then eight quiet months where the price just climbs.

None of this is a trick - the ladder is published, the caps are in the regulamin, and the law has already dealt with the touts. The organised squad simply pays 899 instead of 1,199, and spends the difference on a Sopot apartment.
