Sonar Barcelona 2027
How to get Sonar tickets with your group
Sonar's 2027 presale is live at the kindest price it will ever be, with a new Flex option that refunds until March. The group that decides together now buys the 34th edition at 155 EUR; the group that waits pays the ladder.
Sónar Barcelona 2027

What is Sonar?
Three decades of the festival where club culture meets the future.
Sonar has been Barcelona's festival of "advanced music" since 1994: a three-day meeting of electronic music, digital art and technology that treats the dance floor as culture rather than escapism. The 2027 edition - the 34th - runs 17 to 19 June, and Sonar Week 2026 pulled together more than 150,000 people across the festival, city shows and the Sonar+D congress of 200+ speakers.
The format changed shape in 2026: after decades split between a daytime site at Montjuic and nights at Fira Gran Via, the whole festival unified at Gran Via in L'Hospitalet - six stages, afternoons rolling into 07:00 finishes on Friday and Saturday, with Sonar+D running daytime in the city. The 2027 venue has not been formally announced yet, so treat Gran Via as the working assumption and check the official site before booking anything around it.
Dates
17-19 June 2027, with Friday and Saturday sessions historically running deep past sunrise.
Place
Barcelona; 2026 ran unified at Fira Gran Via, L'Hospitalet (Metro L9 Sud / FGC Europa-Fira). 2027 venue TBC.
Scale
150,000+ across Sonar Week 2026; the 2026 SonarPass and weekend tickets sold out before gates.
Why people come back
The Prodigy one night, a generative-AI installation the next morning: no other festival mixes it like Sonar.

Why tickets are hard
A live, limited presale with prices that only step upward.
The 2027 presale opened on 22 June 2026 and is live now: SonarPass at 155 EUR, VIP at 270, and the +D variants at 170 and 295 - registration-gated on sonar.es with fulfilment through Kaboodle, and officially described as a limited allocation. Sonar's own guidance is blunt: prices increase progressively as the festival approaches. Last cycle told the story - the full pass that started cheap ended above 300 EUR in its final VIP tiers, and SonarPass, weekend tickets and Sonar Kids all sold out before the festival.
Day tickets are the release valve, but they do not exist yet: they historically arrive after the lineup lands, at 49 to 99 EUR in the 2026 cycle, and they were the only products still available at the end. So the group decision today is really one question: commit at 155 EUR now, or plan to pay more later for less choice.
- The presale allocation is limited and unannounced - it can close or step up without a published date.
- Every price move is upward: the 2026 cycle roughly doubled from early tiers to the final ones.
- Resale and transfer are banned by default, with name changes only via the ticketing agent and possibly paid - buy for real people.
- The festival is 18+, and day tickets for specific nights do not exist until the lineup reveal months from now.
Minimum fields and decisions to collect
- Ticket account email
- Target ticket
- Maximum ticket budget
The Flex safety net
New for 2027: commit now, change your mind until 1 March.
The sharpest new fact in the Sonar system is the Flex option: presale buyers can cancel until 1 March 2027 for a full refund, no questions asked. For a group, that changes the maths of buying blind. The classic objection to early passes - "what if the lineup is not for me?" - now has an official answer: buy at today's tier, see the lineup when it lands, and keep or cancel with months of margin.
Outside Flex, the rules are strict: standard tickets are non-refundable, resale or transfer without authorisation can void a ticket, and wristbands are personal and non-transferable at the door. There is no official resale marketplace, so the group's protection is the one built into the purchase - which makes choosing Flex deliberately, per person, part of the buying decision rather than an afterthought.
Ticket rules
Named or transferable? We checked.
Sold via DICE; the app transfer sends tickets to a chosen friend's DICE account. Transfers lock once the entry QR activates about 24h before the event.
Whoever holds the ticket gets in. So the crew move is simple: buy what you can when the sale opens, then use the TicketSquad Tickets board to declare spares and needs, and confirm each hand-over so nothing gets lost in the group chat.
The group method
Decide together at today's tier, with Flex as the group's insurance.
Sonar's group problem is alignment under a rising price, softened by the refund window. The clean method: everyone registers on sonar.es now, the group agrees who is certain and who is Flex-curious, buyers take the presale tier in one batch, and the calendar gets one shared entry - the 1 March cancellation deadline - so nobody discovers it in April.
Sonar group buying method
- 1
Register everyone first
The presale is registration-gated on sonar.es. Every member registers before anyone buys, so the batch can move in one sitting.
- 2
Split certain from Flex-curious
The committed buy standard presale passes; the maybes take the Flex option and get until 1 March 2027 to decide with a full refund.
- 3
Buy the tier in one batch
Agree budgets with Barcelona beds included, buy together at today's price, and record who owns which pass and account.
- 4
Diary the two dates that matter
The lineup reveal (day tickets follow it) and 1 March (Flex deadline). One shared calendar entry each beats four private guesses.
Buying and beyond
Catch the presale, mark the deadlines, plan the sunrise metro.
Everything after the purchase is calendar discipline and city logistics: the lineup reveal that triggers day tickets, the 1 March Flex deadline, and a late-night travel plan for a venue whose Friday and Saturday sessions historically end after sunrise, served by the L9 Sud and FGC once they wake up.
155 EUR
Today's presale SonarPass - the 2026 cycle ended with tiers above double the early price.
1 March
The Flex cancellation deadline: full refund before it, standard no-refund rules after.
18+ only
Sonar checks ID, wristbands are personal, and resale outside official routes is banned.
For Sonar, the win is the early tier with the official escape hatch.
A group that buys the presale together with Flex on the maybes locks the kindest price and keeps months of official refund margin. That is the entire trick, and it is completely within the rules.

Why it matters
Sonar is easier to love when the admin is already done.
The version of Sonar worth having is the one where the group bought at the kind tier, the Flex deadline came and went with everyone still in, and June becomes three days of wandering between a rooftop talk, a label showcase and a 05:00 techno hall with nothing left to decide.
None of this is touting or gaming anything. The presale is open to anyone who registers, and the refund window is official policy. The difference is a group that moved while the price was kind and wrote the deadlines down.
Where TicketSquad helps
TicketSquad keeps the Sonar bet and its deadlines in one place.
TicketSquad gives a Sonar squad one home for the whole cycle: who is in at which tier, Flex status per person, account emails, budget ceilings, the 1 March cancellation deadline, day-ticket hopefuls waiting on the lineup, and the late-night route back to the beds everyone booked.
For a festival that rewards early commitment and punishes forgotten deadlines, a shared plan is the difference between the kind tier and the expensive one.
This is one way we help
The event page becomes the plan, not just the place you store names.
Once the ticket method is clear, the next question is everything around it: where the official links are, what kind of ticket or package the squad is aiming for, what the lineup status is, how people get there, where they sleep, and what they should know before they arrive. TicketSquad keeps that event knowledge beside the data your squad needs to submit.

Your data for this event
This is the form Sónar Barcelona 2027 members would fill in for themselves, so the coordinator is not translating screenshots into a buyer sheet at the worst possible moment.
